What do you do about security?
We use industry-standard SSL encryption to scramble credit card information both on
the way from the shopper from our server, and from our server on to the merchant.
Do you provide a SSL certificate or do we have to purchase that separately?
No need to purchase an SSL certificate. eCartsoft provides a shared SSL certificate
included at no extra extra charge.
What level of service does my host need to provide in order for me to use
e-Cartsoft?
All you need is standard web-hosting to host the HTML pages and images of your
website. (cgi-bin is NOT required to use eCartsoft shopping cart).
Is the shopping cart actually located on your server or my host's server?
We host the shopping cart on our servers and your hosting company hosts your
website HTML pages, images and all needed file to publish your website.
The host I would like to use wants to build me my own server to support a shopping
cart - is that really needed?
No, ecartsoft provides the servers and Internet connectivity our cart is hosted on;
We also provide a shared 128bit SSL encryption for secure transactions.
I believe they are being honest, they simply don't know how eCartsoft works.
eCartsoft works with any website hosted anywhere on the Internet. If you can paste
HTML on our website pages you can use eCartsoft shopping cart service.
How do the orders get to us?
There are two ways to get your orders: Most users view orders on the Web: click on
login. After entering your password, you'll be able to view orders over a secure
connection. Orders are also emailed to you and your customer.
Can we do online credit card authorizations in our store?
You can process orders online or through your existing in-store system, at your
option.
We don't have a merchant account yet. Can you help us get one?
Yes, you can apply online through eCartsoft.Your application will be processed in 1-3
business days. If you're accepted,your new merchant account will be hooked up to your
store automatically. NO Merchant account you say. No problem. We also integrate with papal
x.com payments.
Do I need to set up a merchant account... Are there additional fees?
You will need a merchant account if you want to accept credit cards. Please click

Can we change a store once we've created it?
You can update your site as often as you want, from wherever you happen to be. Some
of our users update their sites several times a day.
Does our store have to look the same as all the others?
Far from it. You have complete control over the look of your site.
Can we get statistics about what is happening in our store?
eCartsoft Store's tracking tools are regarded by many as some of the best in the
industry.
Do we need any special hardware or software to use eCartsoft?
You don't need anything more than you needed to read this page. The only
software you need is an ordinary browser: Netscape Navigatoror Microsoft Explorer.
Will anyone else have access to our sales data?
Absolutely not. We never disclose sales data without their prior consent.
We also understand the value of customer lists to direct marketers,and our policy
is that this information is your property. We do not sellcustomer names, nor do we use
them ourselves.
Do you accept international stores?
For the time being, eCartsoft is unable to accept any new international merchants.
We are working on policies and guidelines which will allow us to bring these merchants
online as soon as possible.
What kind of network connection do you have?
Your site will have the same network connection as eCartsoft itself, multiple T3s
direct to all the major backbones. eCartsoft's whole business depends on the quality of
our network connection. Now your business can share it.
What do you do about backups?
We back up all the user data every night. With orders we don't even wait till that night:

Will my customers see advertisements when they are ordering my products through
eCartsoft?
Absolutely not.
Do you provide Tech support?
We stand behind our products and services. Our fast and effective support team is

Is eCartsoft compatible with external affiliate programs?
Yes, eCartsoft can work with "www.affiliatetracking.net",
"www.cj.com" or any external affiliate program you can paste the affiliate

still use your software?
Yes you can, you will have full control over the page we serve for your account
Do you offer mysql database with your service?
No, but we allow you to export your orders in a custom ASCII delimited file.
We'd like to include order history and possibly even store credit card info. Is
this possible?
Yes, you can.
Can our shopping cart automatically search for and/or place cookies for quicker
access for our customers?
No, your account will have no control over the cookies our servers.
Your price/month looks good, are there any hidden charges?
You may incur a cost to accept credit; This is true for any business on-line or
off-line (retail location, mail-order house, Internet web-site, etc..). We are a
"shopping cart service provider"; We also can "help" you in getting a
merchant account to accept credit cards. since we are not a bank or a merchant account
provider merchant account fees may apply. our shopping cart monthly fees do not cover any
other charges like credit card per transaction fees and gateway fees for on-line credit
